It involves navigating through the dense, impenetrable forest. This challenge requires a moderate level of fitness to finish the trek with the gorillas. Only eight visitors per gorilla family are allowed each day, making it a truly intimate and exclusive wildlife encounter.
Gorilla trekking permits must be obtained in advance through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), and trained guides ensure both visitor safety and minimal environmental impact.
